When I head out for a pet sitting or dog-walking appointment, I donāt just grab a leash and hope for the best. I bring a fully stocked pet care bag to make sure I'm ready for anythingāfrom surprise rainstorms to sudden snack emergencies. Here's what I always have on hand (and why):Ā
š¾Ā Treats Because a little bribery... I mean, positive reinforcement goes a long way. Whether it's encouraging a nervous pup or rewarding good leash manners, treats are an essential part of my toolkit.
š¾Ā Waste Bags Always. Be. Prepared. I carry way more than I think I'll needābecause running out would be a seriousĀ rookie mistake.
š¾Ā Extra Leash You never know when a leash might snap, get muddy, or just need a quick swap. A backup leash keeps our walks safe and stress-free.
š¾Ā Water & Portable Squeeze Bottle Instead of carrying a bowl separately, I use a compact water dispenser bottleāwhere you just squeeze and fill a built-in cup for easy drinking on the go. It's spill-proof, lightweight, and perfect for quick hydration breaks on walks or hikes.
š¾Ā First Aid Basics Minor scrapes or surprises happen. I carry a small kit with essentials like antiseptic wipes, tweezers, and bandages just in case a paw needs a little extra TLC.
š¾Ā Deodorizing Wipes For muddy paws, mystery messes, or accidental slobber fests. These are also great if we pop into pet-friendly stores or patios where clean paws are a must.
š¾Ā Towel Because life with pets is gloriously messy. Whether itās a roll in the mud, a sudden rain shower, or an impromptu dip in a puddle, a towel is a lifesaver (and a car-saver too).
Being prepared isn't just about convenienceāit's part of how I deliver thoughtful, reliable care every single time. When you trust me with your pets, youāre trusting someone who plans for the bestĀ moments and the just-in-caseĀ ones too.

š¬Ā Pet parents: what would youĀ add to a pet care bag? Let me know in the comments!Ā
